TROY, Ala. – Coming off an impressive run to start the spring season, Troy sophomore Nicole Lorup has been named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week; she shared the honor with Grayson Gladden from Arkansas State.
Lorup, a Smørum, Denmark native, turned in a pair of top three finishes to lead the Trojans at the Amelia Island Collegiate and the Islander Classic. She posted a 72.00 stroke average for the week and played five of her six rounds at 72 or lower with three rounds under par.
She tied for third in the spring opener with a 3-under 213 at Amelia Island before tying for second, just a shot back of her third title of the year, at the Islander Classic with a 3-over 219.
