The Troy Trojans leave the field following warmups before facing North Texas in Saturday's New Orleans Bowl. Stacy Long
NEW ORLEANS — The injuries already plagued the Troy Trojans like a Bourbon Street stench, only to get much worse before the first play from scrimmage.
The Trojans were down six regular players two days before the New Orleans Bowl and added a seventh — leading rusher Jordan Chunn — before taking the field.
An eighth, leading receiver Deondre Douglas, went out on the opening kickoff.
But, following a motto of New Orleans and its French Quarter, Troy let the good times roll.
