Michelle Clayton Inducted into Winston-Salem/Forsyth County High School Sports Hall of Fame

TROY, Ala. – Troy track and field assistant coach for throws and weight training Michelle Clayton became inducted to the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County High School Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2023 on May 1.

Clayton has been with Troy since the 2014-15 season, coaching two All-Americans to second team and honorable mention teams. Both All-Americans came via the discus event, with Corina Cox earning second team in 2015 and Zach Douglas in 2016 with the honorable mention.

In her ninth season with the Trojans, Clayton has coached four Sun Belt Championship individual titles, with her most recent coming in 2021 when Michael Alvernaz dominated the hammer throw event at the 2021 Championships with a 64.
