Martial Becomes All-Time NCAA FBS Tackles Leader; Troy Survives at Home Against Army for Seventh-Straight Win

TROY, Ala. – Troy linebacker Carlton Martial etched his name in the history books on Saturday afternoon, becoming the all-time career tackles leader at the NCAA FBS level to lead Troy to a thrilling 10-9 victory over Army in front of a record crowd of 31,010 at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Martial had 17 tackles in the first half and his 20th of the game, which came in the third quarter, gave him 546 for his career to pass Northwestern's Tim McGarigle for the NCAA record. The Mobile, Ala., native finished with a career-high 22 tackles, his second career 20-tackle game.
