Kiawah Island, S.C. – Troy sophomore Nicole Lorup fired a 7-under 65 in Monday's second round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate on the Turtle Point Course at the Kiawah Island Golf and Country Club. Lorup's round established a new Troy school record, a tournament record and a women's course record at Turtle Point.
Lorup, who is in sole possession of first place, played a mistake free round with seven birdies, 12 pars and no bogeys. She opened with a birdie on No. 1 and made the turn at 3-under after birdies on five and six.
