TROY, Alabama – Troy center fielder Logan Cerny has been named to the Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-America Team powered by Diamond, the magazine announced Wednesday.
Cerny finished his rookie campaign with a .267/.336/.495 slash line with 12 doubles, four triples, nine home runs and 42 RBIs. His home run total was the most by a Troy freshman since Jorge Soto blasted 16 homers during the 1997 season – Soto is Troy's record holder with 65 career home runs.
"Logan had a great freshman year and being named an All-American is a significant accomplishment," head coach Mark Smartt said.
