LAFYETTE, La. -- The Troy Trojans soccer team struck for two goals in less than five minutes to drop Louisiana Sunday afternoon 2-1 in overtime at the Ragin' Cajuns Soccer and Track Facility.
With the Trojans (12-2-4, 7-1-2 Sun Belt) trailing by goal with just under two minutes remaining, freshman Taytum Terrell fired a bouncing ball that found its way over the goal-line before a Ragin' Cajun (8-7-3, 4-4-2 Sun Belt) defender cleared it off the line.
With the momentum firmly on Troy's side, the Trojans quickly ended the match when Alisa Detlefsen blasted a left-footed shot into the left corner of the net.
