NEW ORLEANS – Troy head coach Neal Brown wanted to make a point about this season.
The Trojans are 10-2, co-champions of the Sun Belt Conference and will play North Texas in the New Orleans Bowl Saturday.
“You would assume kind of smooth sailing,” Brown said during Troy’s media day press event on Thursday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. “But it’s really been the exact opposite. It’s really been an up-and-down season for us. It’s been a difficult season.”
It’s been a microcosm of the college careers for Troy seniors who have been in the program four and five years.
