BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A 55.59m throw in the men's discus throw by Troy's Javon Osbourne shattered the UAB Track & Field Complex record Saturday afternoon to lead four winners at the UAB Spring Invite.
Three of Troy's winners came on the men's side. Besides Osbourne's facility record-breaking performance in the discus throw, Jasai Taylor and Cole Stewart were winners in the 400m hurdles and javelin throw, respectively. On the women's side, Amelia Nettles led a Trojan sweep in the hammer throw.
Nettles led the sweep in the hammer throw event on her fourth throw.
