The Rebel star, now a member of the Troy Trojans, was named to the Maxpreps 2019 High School Softball All-American first team, the lone player in the state of Alabama to receive first-team accolades from the website.
Baker, a standout both as a hitter and pitcher, was selected to the team as a utility player, which combines success in more than one area. Overall, 32 players from throughout the country were selected to the first team.
The All-America honor comes less than three weeks after Baker was named the state’s Miss Softball winner. She had earlier repeated as the Dothan Eagle Player of the Year.
