TROY – Fatherhood hasn’t changed Sidney Davis, but perhaps it has sharpened him.
Troy’s H or slot receiver, the 5-11, 218-pound senior from Natchez, Miss., had a big game in the Trojans’ win last Saturday at ULM. Davis caught six passes for 78 yards – both team highs – including a 22-yard touchdown in the final minute of the first half.
That score looked like gravy at the time, sending Troy into the locker room with a 35-7 lead. It looked bigger and bigger as the Warhawks rallied before the Trojans got out of Monroe with a 35-27 victory.
