Troy University may be losing one of its top football players if reports prove accurate.
According to multiple media reports, former Enterprise standout Marcus Jones, a rising junior defensive back and return specialist for the Trojans, has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Efforts by the Dothan Eagle to reach Jones for confirmation on Tuesday afternoon were unsuccessful and a Troy official reached concerning the manner said they do not comment on reports of players intending to transfer.
If Jones does transfer, it will mark the second major loss for the Trojans recently on the defensive side of the football.
