Jamarius Henderson, shown here in action for Memphis last season, is transferring to Troy.
And it is one right in the Wiregrass.
Henderson, arguably the top running back to come out of the area in the last decade, confirmed to the Dothan Eagle Friday night that he will enroll at Troy University. He will report to the team on Monday, the day Trojan players report for fall practice.
Henderson played last year at Memphis as a true freshman after graduating from Dale County in the spring of 2015.
“Troy is a perfect environment to transfer,” Henderson told the Dothan Eagle.
