TROY — Quarterback Brandon Silvers, after helping the Troy Trojans land a spot in Mobile’s Dollar General Bowl, faced big expectations this week.
His teammates were looking for him to show them around.
The Trojans (9-3), whose past trips to Port City were simple one-day business trips to play South Alabama, had four nights to enjoy it this week.
They hit the town Monday, don’t face Ohio (8-5) until Friday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium and planned to beseech Silvers, a Gulf Shores native, for guidance in between.
“He is going to have to be a tour guide,” running back Jordan Chunn said.
