Florida State Rallies to Down Troy

TROY, Alabama – Troy jumped out to an early lead, but conceded four times in a 4-1 loss to No. 16 Florida State at the Troy Soccer Complex on Wednesday.

Nicole Strahl put Troy (2-5-2) ahead at the 12:24 mark when she headed in a goal off a corner from Kiersten Edlund; it marked the first time in three tries that the Trojans have led a ranked opponent.

Florida State (5-1) responded three minutes later scoring three times in a 4:34 span. Deyna Castellanos recorded two goals – including the Seminoles fourth of the day in the 89th minute – and turned in an assist.
