TROY, Ala. – Troy racked up seven runs on nine hits in the first two innings of the game to grab an early lead on its way to a 10-6 win to clinch the conference series over Louisiana Saturday afternoon at Riddle-Pace Field.
The Trojans (13-13, 3-5) started the game with four consecutive singles to plate a couple of runs, then went on to score two more runs on two more hits in the opening frame. A three-run second – highlighted by a two-RBI double from Sadler Goodwin – put Troy in complete control of the game.
