TROY, Alabama – Troy University Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain and the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame Committee announced Friday the members of the sixth induction class into the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame. The eight new inductees will be enshrined in a special ceremony on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
The class consists of Benny Beard (supporter), DeWhitt Betterson (football), Melanie Davis (softball coach), Dr. Doug Hawkins (administrator), Jerrel Jernigan (football), Johnny Long (band director), Bubba Marriot (football) and Frank Sadler (football).
Seats for the ceremony in Trojan Arena can be purchased for $100 each and tables can be purchased for $800.
