TROY — Tray Eafford’s emotions roiled each time the question hit him, which seemed like every time Troy threw an incomplete pass last season.
While Eafford’s 2017 football season has shown immense potential, Eafford’s 2016 football season found him marooned in the student section, helpless to do anything with the Trojans — except watch.
“I felt like I was part of the team, but at the same time I wasn’t,” Eafford said. “People are asking me, ‘Am I coming out?’ and I’m like ‘Yeah, I’m coming next year.’”
Eafford, forced to sit out last year and not allowed any official contact with Troy’s coaches or football program, used his time wisely.
