TROY, Ala. – Troy senior Deontae Crumitie has been named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List, the Boomer Esiason Foundation announced Wednesday afternoon. The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the nation's top center.
Crumitie, a native of Lake City, Fla., earned All-Sun Belt Second Team honors last season as the leader on Troy's offensive front that finished 12th nationally in fewest sacks allowed. A three-year starter for the Trojans, Crumitie has started 25 consecutive games and 31 total games in his career.
He allowed just one sack in more than 700 snaps in Troy's Sun Belt Conference championship season and graded out at 90 percent or better in seven different contests.
