GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kasey Cooper had two hits, but that was all the offense the Auburn could muster in a 7-0 defeat to Florida Sunday night.
The Tigers (27-5, 2-3 SEC) struck out a season-high 16 times and were limited to two hits in the seven-inning tilt.
Makayla Martin got the nod in the circle and worked the opening 4.1 innings, allowing five earned runs and striking out two. Ashlee Swindle relieved and tossed a clean 1.2 innings in her second career appearance in a conference game.
The Gators (29-1, 7-0) opened the scoring in the bottom of the second with an RBI single.
