TROY, Alabama – Troy senior catcher Chase Smartt has been named to the Collegiate Baseball All-America Third Team powered by Diamond, the prominent magazine announced Thursday.
Smartt becomes the 55th All-American in school history after he posted a .343/.406/.523 slash line with 21 doubles, six home runs and 41 RBIs during the 2019 season. His double total currently ranks as the 22ndmost in the country and will go down as the ninth most in a season in school history.
