Former Providence Christian Eagle Calum Masters has played his best golf recently and leads the Troy Trojans into the Sun Belt Conference Championship tournament, which begins Sunday near Destin, Fla.
After struggling in his first semester of collegiate golf in the fall, Masters has posted three consecutive top-10 finishes in stroke-play competition, leading the Trojans in each of those events.
Masters hopes to continue the momentum, which he attributes to a new mental approach, when the Trojans play in the Sun Belt Conference Championship Sunday through Wednesday at The Raven near Destin, Fla.
