Boise State has more than 9,000 tickets unsold for Troy game

There are a number of hot tickets for college football's opening week.

Boise State-Troy is not one of them.

Boise State athletic director Curt Apsey told The Idaho Press on Monday that the school still has between 9,000 and 10,000 ticket available for Saturday's game.

According to the report, an estimated crowd of 26,000 is expected.

It hasn't been since 2006 that the Broncos have opened a season in front of fewer than 30,000 fans.

Troy went 10-3 last season, defeated Ohio in the Dollar General Bowl and spent a week ranked in The Associated Press top 25 for the first time in school history.
