NEW ORLEANS — Claresa Banks tied a season high to help Troy move to within one win of a second straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
Banks finished with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting in the Trojans’ 88-59 win over Texas-Arlington on Saturday in the Sun Belt semifinals.
Third-seeded Troy (21-10) will face fifth-seeded Louisiana-Lafayette at 6 p.m. Sunday for the league tournament championship.
Jayla Chills led the Trojans with 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting Saturday. She scored a combined 14 points in Troy’s final four regular-season games before posting 12 in a quarterfinal win Friday.
Caitlyn Ramirez added 13 points and 12 rebounds.
