BOCA RATON, FLA. – Troy’s Becca Hartley and Jordan Gray each smashed a three-run home run Sunday, helping the Trojans defeat Bethune-Cookman 9-6 in the FAU “Kick-Off” Classic.
Down 4-3, Hartley – a Charles Henderson graduate – notched her second homer of the season, scoring Brooke Echols, Carli Kayler and her. Gray followed with a three-run shot, the first homer of her career, in the sixth inning to put the game out of reach.
Rachel Rigney got her second start in the circle and pitched six innings, while Claire Graves came in for one. Graves got shaken up on a play that allowed Rigney to re-enter.
