TROY – Everything was about balance in the Troy Trojans’ 80-63 victory over South Alabama Saturday at Trojan Arena.
The Trojans (10-13 overall, 4-6 Sun Belt Conference) had five players score in double figures – all ranging from 11 to 18 points. Troy edged South Alabama in most statistical categories but never totally dominated, shooting 4 percentage points from the field better, winning the rebound margin 38-33 and committing only three fewer turnovers.
Troy also outscored the Jaguars 40-32 in the first half and 40-31 in the second half.
It was a complete victory through many facets – a stark contrast to the first game when Troy downed South Alabama 79-64 thanks to a career-high 30 points and 16 rebounds from Alex Hicks.
