Austin Stidham Named Academic All-American; First in Program History

TROY, Ala. – Austin Stidham has made Troy Football history by becoming the first player in program history to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Monday.

Stidham, who was named to the second team, becomes the 17th Troy student-athlete to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors since the program was instituted in 1952.

A junior offensive lineman from Russellville, Ala., Stidham is coming off an All-Sun Belt First Team season in which he ranked fifth nationally with an 85.6 pass blocking grade (min. 400 pass blocking situations) from Pro Football Focus (PFF).
