Troy head football coach Neal Brown has good reason to mention left tackle Austin Stidham’s size when he discusses the redshirt freshman’s recent transformation.
“As a senior at Russellville High School, when he got done with basketball, he weighed 240 pounds. Now in less than two years, to be sitting at 295 pounds, it’s important to him,” the coach said. “He’s added strength. He’s a good athlete, and I think he’s put on weight the right way.”
Stidham’s incredible development has made him the frontrunner to become the Trojans’ newest starter at left tackle.
