TROY — DK Billingsley didn’t consider the lack of scholarship offers as an insult.
He doesn’t derive inspiration from having all but one school ignore him in high school because, well, he kind of did the ignoring.
Once Troy made its offer and once the then-Scottsboro running back committed a week later, Billingsley was finished with it, as far as he was concerned.
“I just closed down recruiting,” Billingsley said. “I didn't really talk to anybody else. I could possibly have had more offers, but once I came to visit and committed, I was just all in.
