You’ll have to forgive Stevie Smiley and Isaac Nickson if they remark about feelings of déjà vu Saturday. In a sense, it’ll be warranted.
The Pike County High graduates will step on Troy’s Veterans Memorial Stadium again when their Alabama State Hornets pay a visit to the Trojans. Both of them faced some Trojans —Charles Henderson High Trojans – at the facility while playing for the Bulldogs in high school.
“It feels like we open up with Charles Henderson again,” Nickson, a junior offensive lineman, said.
“Once we step out on that field, it’ll bring back memories,” Smiley, a junior defensive end, added.
