ORANGE BEACH, Alabama – Alabama scored on a penalty kick in the 90th minute to edge Troy, 2-1, in an exhibition match at the Orange Beach Sportsplex on Sunday.
Troy leveled the score just seconds earlier when senior Nicole Harris lofted a free kick into the box where Brooke McKee headed it into the net. The Trojans took six shots on the day, five on goal.
"Alabama were the better team," head coach Jason Hamilton said. "You can tell their group took advantage of having a game on Thursday and fixed some small things.
