11 days later: Troy falls to South Alabama after LSU upset

TROY – LSU sure wishes this Troy team had shown up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, last month.

After pulling off their biggest win ever as an FBS program that brought them national attention, the Trojans laid a dinosaur egg in Wednesday night’s 19-8 loss to South Alabama before 25,211 fans at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Troy committed four turnovers and rushed for just 30 yards. Jordan Chunn left the game with a laceration injury and an ESPN2 audience was left wondering why it spent a Wednesday night watching this game instead of "Empire" or "Law & Order."

Neal Brown should still be on the radar of three SEC schools – Tennessee, Ole Miss and Missouri – and any other Power 5 school that’ll need a head coach by season’s end.
