Tottenham star Harry Kane has commended the work of Captain Tom Moore, the 99-year-old war veteran who has now raised over £18million for the NHS amid the fight against coronavirus.
The former military man has captured the hearts of the nation during the lockdown after aiming to raise £1,000 for NHS Charities Together by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday on April 30.
He only began the fundraiser just over a week ago and has already smashed his target with more than 800,000 people flocking to his JustGiving page to donate, raising in excess of £18m in the process.
