The skipper was joined in the starting XI by Spurs team-mates Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier. Kieran completed the 90 minutes and provided the assist for Harry's winner. Dele appeared to be struggling towards the end of the first half but came out for the second half and was eventually replaced on 80 minutes. Eric Dier was a late substitute for Jesse Lingard while Danny Rose remained on the bench.
Harry handed England a deserved lead in the 11th minute as the team started brightly in Volgograd. John Stones powered in header from Ashley Young's corner, Tunisia goalkeeper Mouez Hassen palmed away but Harry was there to convert from close range.
