The last time our number three stopper was called upon was when we visited Carlisle United in the third round of the League Cup in September, 2012.
With Hugo Lloris having arrived just weeks earlier from Lyon, Brad Friedel was still first-choice.
But rather than deploy Hugo, who had made his debut for us in the Europa League against Lazio the previous week, for our trip to Carlisle, manager Andre Villas-Boas opted for Carlo Cudicini, who had slipped down the pecking order.
Always reliable for us when called upon, Carlo kept a clean sheet at Brunton Park as we won 3-0 in what would turn out to be his final appearance in our colours.
