The German coach, who guided the Terriers to promotion via the Championship play-off final last season, admits his team will face their biggest top-flight challenge yet when we visit the John Smith’s Stadium for a 12.30pm kick-off.
“It’s no secret that it’s a top-six side, maybe more than only top six and this is the first time we meet an opponent with this quality,” said the 45-year-old, who was on the coaching staff at Borussia Dortmund during current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s time at the helm.
“This group so far has taken every step as good as they could and now it’s the next step and we are totally excited, me included, to see if we can take the step.
