Erik Lamela could make his long-awaited return from a year-long injury absence when Tottenham host West Ham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
The Argentine winger has not appeared since Tottenham's 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield in the same competition on October 25 due to a persistent hip injury.
However, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino says his 25-year-old compatriot is on the verge of a return to the first-team fold.
Pochettino said: "We are talking every day. He needs to find that feeling where he can say 'now, yes, I am available to compete'.
