Tottenham are resigned to losing Toby Alderweireld this summer and will sell the Belgian defender if they receive a bid of £44million, according to reports from his homeland.
Alderweireld’s future at Spurs is under the spotlight as his contract stand-off with the north London club continues.
The 29-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal and is regarded as one of the Premier League’s best central defenders.
However, Alderweireld wants wages of £150,000-a-week if he signs a new contract with Tottenham – a similar region to what Virgil van Dijk is paid at Liverpool – and the club are refusing to give in to his demands.
