Jan Vertonghen said he is 'immensely proud' after becoming the most capped player in the history of the Belgium national team.
The Tottenham Hotspur defender made his 97th appearance for the Red Devils in their Tuesday night 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cyprus.
This took him beyond the previous Belgian record, held by attacking midfielder Jan Ceulemans who played in the side which came fourth at the 1986 World Cup.

Ceulemans was at the centre of the presentations before the game, handing Vertonghen a special framed Belgium shirt with 97 on the back.
