Tottenham defender Danny Rose is set to miss the start of next season after undergoing knee surgery.
The full-back has not featured for Mauricio Pochettino's side since damaging medial ligaments during the goalless draw with Sunderland on January 31.
He returned to full training last week and was thought to be in contention to feature in the club's final two Premier League games of the campaign.
But Spurs have revealed Rose has had an exploratory operation on his knee on Tuesday as "the problem has not resolved fully."
