Tottenham evacuate 300 people after fire breaks out at their £1bn stadium with venue being used a Covid vaccination centre as firefighters put out blaze within an hour and no injuries reported

A fire broke out at Tottenham Hotspur's Stadium on Thursday morning, forcing the club to evacuate 300 people from inside the ground.

Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade were called at around 10am to Spurs' stadium on High Road, which has been used as a coronavirus vaccination centre over the summer.

The force battled the fire for an hour before getting the blaze under control, with the firefighters revealing that an air compressor had been damaged.

No injuries were reported among the 300 people evacuated by Tottenham Hotspur staff from the north London stadium.
