Tottenham closing in on appointing Thomas Frank from Brentford after sacking Ange Postecoglou as club prepare to pay hefty release clause for the Dane

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on Brentford’s Thomas Frank.

Mail Sport understands that talks are moving in a positive direction – and that an unveiling could take place in the coming days.

The Dane has a release clause thought to be around £10m, but those with knowledge of the situation believe it is heading towards a conclusion and that Frank will soon be announced as successor to Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked on Friday.

Frank guided the Bees to tenth place last season and has a long-standing relationship with Spurs' technical director Johan Lange.
