Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Fernando Llorente from Swansea City, snatching him from under the noses of London rivals Chelsea.
Chelsea had hoped to complete a deal for Llorente but Spurs entered the running on Wednesday and won the race to sign the 32-year-old, who scored 15 goals in the Premier League last season.
Llorente, who will cost around £14 million, has signed a two-year deal with the option of a further year, and he is the oldest player signed by the club under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The move was dependent on Swansea securing a replacement, and with Manchester City's Wilfried Bony returning to the Liberty Stadium it went through.
