Tottenham appoint Leonardo Gabbanini as their new chief scout in latest installment of their staffing reshuffle this season... with a deal for Udinese defender Destiny Udogie 'set to follow'

Former Watford scout Leonardo Gabbanini has been named chief scout at Tottenham.

It comes after a number of high-profile staffing appointments at the club, as part of Fabio Paratici's plan to improve Spurs' recruitment.

As well as bringing in experienced staff from other European clubs, Tottenham have also appointed two Premier League legends to their academy staff in Jermain Defoe and Yaya Toure.

According to reports in the Evening Standard, Gabbanini has been working with Spurs since July and is looking at 'restructuring their scouting network'.
