Tottenham legend Ossie Ardiles has posted an update from hospital after undergoing a successful heart surgery this week.
The Argentine tweeted a heartfelt message thanking the doctors of St Barts hospital on Friday morning, where he praised the staff for 'exceptional, amazing work'.
The club revealed that their former player, who made 311 appearances and scored 25 goals for Spurs, would be undertaking the surgery in a post on Twitter earlier in the week.
Ardiles tweeted: 'My most sincere thank you to Mr Uppal and his team and the people of St Barts hospital.
