Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is not worried about reports linking star defender Toby Alderweireld with a move away from the club, insisting the Belgian is ‘fully committed’ to Spurs.
The 28-year-old was one of the Premier League’s best defenders last season, but his long-term future at the club is uncertain.
Alderweireld’s current contract expires in 2019 and while Spurs have agreed a number of new deals for their biggest stars over the last 18 months, the centre-back has yet to accept improved terms.
The Belgium international reportedly earns around £50,000-a-week at White Hart Lane, but wants a pay rise to bring him closer to Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris, who earn more than twice that after bonuses.
