The turnstiles are among the many artefacts from our famous old stadium that have been re-purposed throughout the Club’s local community.
They form part of a major stadium upgrade for the Hertfordshire outfit, who previously did not meet the necessary requirements of the FA National Ground Grading Criteria having gained promotion last season.
On top of our turnstile donation, Welwyn Garden City were awarded a £100,000 grant from the Premier League through the Football Stadia Improvement Fund that has enabled the installation of two brand new spectator stands and modifications to the existing clubhouse.
Tottenham Hotspur Ambassador Ossie was a special guest at the new-look stadium’s official opening, alongside Spurs fan and star of BBC One’s DIY SOS, Billy Byrne, and Cllr Lynne Sparks, the Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
