'The deal did not collapse due to financial reasons': Philippe Coutinho's agent denies the Brazilian holds a grudge against Tottenham owner Daniel Levy after a proposed transfer collapsed last summer

Philippe Coutinho has rejected claims he holds a grudge against Daniel Levy over the collapse of a proposed transfer from Barcelona to Tottenham.

Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian spoke out after reports in Spain blamed the failed move last year on the demands of Spurs chairman Levy.

'Phillipe Coutinho has no personal issue with Daniel Levy and claims otherwise are totally false,' said Joorabchian. 'The deal did not collapse due to financial reasons.'
