LONDON -- Mauricio Pochettino has described Harry Winks as "the perfect midfielder" and says his unique qualities provide a different option for Tottenham.
Winks, 21, impressed in Spurs' 3-0 win against Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League on Tuesday after coming through 90 minutes unscathed in last week's Carabao Cup win over Barnsley -- his first start in six months.
He was named in the England under-21 squad on Thursday, having skipped a call-up last month to focus on recovering from the ankle injury he suffered in a Premier League match at Burnley in April.
Pochettino says Winks can provide Spurs with something different now that he is fit, and says his versatility and reading of the game set him apart.
