A teenage boy stabbed 16-year-old schoolboy Harry Pitman to death with a hunting knife after a row broke out at a New Year's Eve fireworks show, a court has heard today.

Harry, whose tragic death has sparked widespread outrage and mourning, was knifed 'within yards' of police officers attending the fireworks display at north London's Primrose Hill.

Medics desperately tried to save the Tottenham Hotspur-loving teen but he was pronounced dead just 20 minutes before midnight.

There were police officers just yards away when the stabbing took place but the accused killer was not apprehended at the scene, the Old Bailey heard.
